Streptococcus agalactiae infection in camels (Camelus dromedarius) in Kenya

Subclinical mastitis in camels due to Streptococcus agalactiae (Lancefield type B) was studied in different camel management systems in Kenya (Somali, Pokot, educational toys ranch-camels).A presumed correlation between the S.agalactiae copyright status Journal of the mother and performance of the calf was examined in ranch-camels.Possibilities for detection, treatment and control of S.agalactiae mastitis in camels are discussed.
